Thanks for your question!
Our Ledgestone Select Faux Wall Panels are made from a lightweight polyurethane material that offers a little flexibility, but they aren’t designed to fully bend. For gentle curves, you can carefully heat the back of the panel with a heat gun on a low setting while gradually shaping it to your surface.
For tighter curves, a technique called kerf cutting can be helpful. This involves making a series of shallow, evenly spaced cuts (kerfs) on the back of the panel — typically using a circular saw or multi-tool — which allows the panel to flex more easily along the cut line. The kerfs should be spaced close together on the back side of the panel in the area where it needs to bend, being careful not to cut all the way through the material.
Depending on your island’s curve, you might use a combination of light heat and kerf cuts, or trim the panels into narrower strips to follow the shape more easily.
If you'd like, feel free to share your island’s dimensions and curve radius — we’d be happy to provide more specific guidance for your project!
